Although we are usually open in spite of the weather, our staff comes from many different parts of our state. Sometimes the technologist that performs a particular study may not be able to get here because of the weather. When you make your appointment with us we always ask for a phone number where you can be reached. This way we can contact you when it is necessary to reschedule an appointment. Sometimes we will attempt to end the day early so that employees as well as patients can avoid the weather. In this case we will contact you and ask you to come in earlier than your scheduled appointment.

When making appointments it is a good idea to have your insurance information available, since requirements vary from plan to plan. It is also helpful to have your prescription with you because we may have questions about the type of exam you are scheduling. You should also remember to bring your prescription with you for the test.

Many HMO plans require that you obtain pre certification before the exam is performed. This sometimes means that you will need several days lead time so that precert can be obtained from your insurance carrier.

Please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment, as there is some required paperwork. logo_acr
Let us know if you have special needs, medical problems, disabilities, etc. We will do our best to accommodate you. Let us know if you have any allergies to anything, or if you are diabetic.
If you have had x-rays or scans elsewhere bring them with you. This is especially true for our mammography patients. The radiologist can give a more precise interpretation of your images. Patients who are scheduled for MRI should bring any x-rays that may have been taken.

Annual Mammogram Reminder

Please be aware that many breast cancers do not produce symptoms. early detection require a combination of monthly self-examinations, a yearly physical breast examination performed by your health care provider and routine mammography. The current American Cancer Society guidelines recommend screening mammograms and clinical breast examinations every year beginning at the age of 40. Use the below information to contact our radiology group and schedule yourself your screening today.
